It’s not uncommon for the most successful in-person communities to begin with digital origins. The Amplified Journey podcast launched in 2021 by two Houston-based cofounders who wanted to tell stories about wellness and nature-focused leaders of color.
But as great movements grow, like-minded people begin to yearn for connection IRL. This prompted the duo to start hosting runs, hikes and other outdoor experiences, and BLK Beetles began to take shape.
Through key brand partnerships and consistent programming over the last few years, BLK Beetles is now building a culture that helps people of color feel safe recreating outside together.

🐟 K-beauty’s latest catch
Korean skincare products, or K-beauty, is the hottest thing since sliced bread in the multi-billion dollar beauty industry. Often driven by star ingredients, the most popular products promote hydration, rejuvenation, and “aging well.”
However, the newest star ingredient straight from Seoul skin clinics may take you by surprise. Apparently, the reproductive cells in salmon are chock-full of PDRN, or polydeoxyribonucleotide, which has demonstrated regenerative properties.

Wellness as a whole is no longer a passing trend, the industry is here to stay. According to Fitt Insider, consumers are massively shifting spend toward mental health resources, wellness-focused travel and group exercise, among several other increasing categories.
