Hey crew! Welcome back to Thrivency’s weekly newsletter 👋🏽
For this week’s Community Voices Q&A, I’m back with a brand new episode of SACRED SPACES, our original video series that’s part travel vlog, part behind-the-scenes look at some of the most unique, vibrant and transformative wellness-focused businesses around the country.
The focus of episode 6 is a community pillar, award-winning business and a recently featured competition space in season 23 of Top Chef on Bravo.
Join me for a tour of Deep Roots CPS Farm, a 7-acre urban farm based in Charlotte and a 44-acre expansion in Union County. This family of first-generation farmers are building a lasting impact through community centered regenerative agriculture.
Let’s dive in ⤵️
Q&A with Cherie and Wisdom Jzar
We had to put everything on this farm that you see except this 100-year-old barn. Farmers really have a lot of ingenuity and skill. A little carpentry, a little engineering.
Here are all the ways you can support The Jzar Family and Deep Roots CPS Farm:
Book a tour or shop seasonal produce, fresh flowers, eggs and more at their farm stand on Primm Road.
Attend a community dinner, workshop, or enroll a young person in your life in their annual summer camp.
Order produce online or check out their schedule at local Charlotte farmers markets.
Thanks so much for reading another edition of our weekly newsletter! There will not be a newsletter next week, on the fifth Thursday of this month, but we’ll meet back here with a new edition of Wellness News You Can Use 🗞 on August 6th.
