September snuck up on us, didn't it? Somehow it's already time to trade in summer reset energy for a fall slow down. And I’m certainly not complaining.

🏥 A Women's Health Club for Harlem
Harlem has a new health destination that’s flipping the script on what a doctor's visit can feel like. Sela, founded by Kayalin Akens-Irby, blends functional medicine and aesthetics under one roof, offering everything from bloodwork and OB/GYN care to facials and botox.
The inspiration is personal. Kayalin started Sela after watching her younger sister's pain get dismissed by the healthcare system, a story that's all too familiar to so many Black women. Now she's building a space where patients leave feeling seen instead of like another transaction on the schedule.

⌚️ Worn Out from Wearables?
Do you ever feel pressure to "appear well" online? Turns out that all the tracking, scoring and optimizing from wearable devices is starting to burn people out.
But this analysis shows that the money hasn't left the wellness economy, it has just relocated instead. As personal tracking falls, people apparently still want useful information about their health without being bogged down by all the noise. Blood diagnostics and longevity clinics are booming, and this sector is projected to reach $9.5 billion by 2030.

🚀 A New Room for Wellness Founders
Calling all wellness entrepreneurs: The Female Founder Collective's 10th House membership just opened a waitlist for its first-ever Health & Wellness cohort this fall.
The 10th House connects founders with an 8-week operational accelerator, industry-specific peer groups, and 1:1 mentorship from advisors behind brands like Glossier and Thrive Market. With women receiving less than 3% of venture funding, having a community built specifically to close that gap is a big deal for wellness founders looking to scale beyond proof-of-concept.

Tired of those chalky protein bars with no flavor? Brown Girl Mag put us on to Samsāra, a brand infusing traditional South Asian flavors into a nutritional bar that’s high protein, high fiber, and low in sugar. 😋
