Therapist-Entrepreneur Nina Westbrook Launches Nebbi, A New Emotional Wellness App

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Nina Westbrook has launched Nebbi, a science-backed emotional wellness app designed for busy, high-functioning individuals navigating daily stress. Co-founded with Sharndre Kushor of billion-dollar edtech company Crimson Education, the app officially launched in August 2025 across Apple and Google Play stores.

Westbrook brings substantial clinical credibility to the wellness space. According to her LinkedIn profile, she holds a Master's in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has extensive therapeutic experience across hospital settings, specializing in mood disorders, trauma, and family therapy. Beyond clinical work, she serves on UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital's advisory board and has built multiple successful ventures, including wellness platform Bene By Nina and sustainable children's brand Minibrook.

Nebbi distinguishes itself through therapist-designed daily tools requiring just 60 seconds of user commitment. The app features cognitive behavioral therapy-rooted emotional check-ins, personalized wellness resets, and weekly insight tracking. Rather than lengthy meditation sessions or crisis intervention, Westbrook told Essence that Nebbi focuses on daily emotional maintenance for what Westbrook calls "the moments before breakdown."

The app launched with a unique lifetime access model for 500 founding members, positioning itself in the $131.6 billion mental wellness market as a premium, therapist-informed alternative to traditional meditation and mood-tracking apps.
